In the d.school- or design school- the ceilings were naked, there was a roof- but no ceiling. Apparently it was a source of inspiration for the students. The d-school was designed for students who were interested in design and prototypes. The materials of the classroom were very inexpensive, cheap , and easy to make. In my opinion, I believe all the buildings were structured in such an attractive way- I found the building very attractive and amazing.

I really liked how you spoke about the church Parth because when I gazed at the inside I did notice the pillars, and the rhythm they held because it made the structure look very stable and elegant at the same time. I also liked how you talked about the d.school too and how you described the whole area as "naked" because I felt that same feeling too, being that all the rooms were movable and had little to nothing in them to start.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Parth and Dom on how you guys felt like the inside was naked. Parth I really adored the d.school it made me want to take classes there. I really loved the idea of making pieces out of cheap materials and using your imagination. The classroom spaces made it also feel like a club or small communite.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the building were attractive and looked amazing. The church had great detail which i enjoyed. I also like your picture which portrays the oval area and the church very well.
